News: Terrell Owens has High Angle Sprain in Win over Panthers

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens suffered a high ankle sprain in Saturday night's game against the Carolina Panthers.

An MRI exam on Sunday confirmed Owens' injury, according to team's web site.

The Cowboys said there is no timetable for the return of Owens, but the Pro Bowl receiver is not expected to play next week's game at the Washington Redskins.

Owens will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis. Dallas will open postseason play the weekend of January 12-13 against the lowest-seeded team remaining in the NFC.

The Cowboys (13-2) wrapped up the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs when the Green Bay Packers lost to the Chicago Bears, 35-7, on Sunday. . .
