News: Cowboys lose heart-breaker to Cardinals in Overtime
Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 06:56:47 pm

In a heart-breaker the Cardinals defeated the Cowboys today after blocking a punt in the End Zone after the Cowboys had fought back into the game and eventually overtime.

The Cowboys were down by 10 pts with about 3:10 left in the game when Tony Romo first threw a 70 yd Touchdown pass to Marion Barber in which he 'shook' off many defenders for a TD. After all of this our defense stopped them and Tony Romo drove down the field with 50 seconds left and no time outs to the 35 yd line. Nick Folk then kicked a 52yd game tying Field Goal.

All of this was in vain however as we won 'the toss' but failed to score on our opening drive in O.T. When McBriar went to punt Arizona blocked it and Monty Beisel recovered for the 3yd Touchdown.

Score: 30-24 O.T.
Cowboys lost @ Cardinals

We are 4-2 and face St. Louis next week so don't be too sad. Romo seriously needs to work on not giving the ball over. Also if Nick Folk hadn't missed a 37 yard Field Goal towards the end of the second quarter.
